Calloway Tribute On November 26, 2006, the Lord called home our beloved Deacon Donn Calloway. His Homegoing service on December 2 was a touching and moving celebration of the life of a man who touched everyone he came in contact with. He will be missed by his friends and church family, but none more than his loving wife Jocelyn and children, Jonathan, Donn Jr., and Amber, his mother Charlotte and his brothers Lacy and Darrell. This is a tribute to our special friend we affectionately called the "Dapper" Deacon Donn who we know is walking Heaven's streets of gold with our Lord Jesus Christ and watching down on all of us. I personally learned a lot from Deacon Donn in the time I knew him from his words and his actions. I was blessed to have a few one-on-one sessions with him in the hospital this past year. But the most important thing I learned from him came in his passing and that is, no matter what your circumstances, doing the Lord's work should always be a priority. We thank you Deacon Donn for touching all of our lives. God bless you and your family. |
